Shakespeare Beyond Borders Tickets and Dates

Taking place on Zoom on the second Wednesday of every month, our online Research Conversations provide you with the opportunity to listen to people who are engaged in Shakespeare-related research.

On 14 December we will be in conversation with Professor Michael Dobson, Dr Chris Laoutaris and Dr Rowan Mackenzie, co-chairs of the Shakespeare Beyond Borders Alliance, about how we can create a Shakespeare network without limits.

Since its launch in June 2021, the Shakespeare Beyond Borders Alliance (SBBA) has continued to bring together Shakespeare practitioners, directors, film-makers, theatre companies, scholars, actors, arts organisations, educational foundations, charities, prison networks, publishing houses, government representatives, and tourist industries with the aim of fostering dialogue, collaborations and mutual learning across national, social and disciplinary borders. It hosted the first Equality Shakespeare Festival in June 2022.

How do we use Shakespeare to effect real social change? How can Shakespeare help us create a more equal society?

Led by the SBBA co-chairs: Professor Michael Dobson, Dr Chris Laoutaris (University of Birmingham), and Dr Rowan Mackenzie (Artistic Director of Shakespeare UnBard).

The event begins with a thirty minute presentation and will be followed by an open discussion.

Please note this is an online event held on Zoom.

Sorry, there are no shows for Shakespeare Beyond Borders right now.
