Tudor Family Experience Days Tickets and Dates

The perfect introduction to life in Shakespeare's time.
This August we're delighted to be able to offer families a taste of life in Shakespeare's time with specially-curated Tudor experience days, packed full of hands-on activities, at Mary Arden's Farm - the home of Shakespeare's mother. Here's what you can look forward to...
Morning:
- Get stuck in with Tudor gardening
- Have a go at making lavender bags to ward off the plague
- Design and paint your own Tudor wall hanging
- Try your hand at crafting some sugar subtleties
- Learn to write with a quill
- Find out all about posy trenchers and have a go at designing your own.
Afternoon:
-Take part in active storytelling to bring A Midsummer Night's Dream to life
- Put your best foot forward in our Tudor music and dancing workshop. Listen to music from the period and learn how to jig!
All day:
- Whilst on site you'll be able to explore the Farm*, say hello to the animals, not forgetting a Tudor game or two on the lawn for all to enjoy.
Don't forget to bring your picnic! Hot & cold drinks, cakes and cream teas will be available to purchase from our onsite cafe.
(*Please note, access to the farm is limited.)
